About the Role

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist - Senior to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert-level project management support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate program/project objectives and develop strategic plans to achieve them.
  • Analyze complex requirements, status, budget, and schedules to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Perform in-depth management, technical, or business case analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Collect, complete, organize, and interpret large datasets relating to project acquisition and product programs.
  • Track program/project status, budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Provide expert-level support to our clients, including government agencies and private sector organizations.
  • Apply government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management, and data management to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Prepare acquisition and procurement documentation, including Justification and Approval (J&A) for sole source procurement; Individual Streamlined Acquisition Plan (ISTRAP); Statements of Work (SOW); Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) DD Form 1423-1; and Procurement Initiation Documents (PID).
  • Perform program management, financial, and technical analyses to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Collate and post data to various online tools and databases, e.g., Program Management Tool, Common Spend Plan Tool, Contract Requirements Data List tool, Procurement Request tracking tool, etc.
  • Coordinate Integrated Government Schedule inputs between IPTs and schedule technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate inputs and perform analysis for Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE) to inform budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Conduct market research to support future procurement activities and drive business growth.
  • Assist in the management of team-level Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Review Boards and document preparation to ensure effective risk management.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience OR
  • MA/MS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and completed military service with relevant training with 15+ years of experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 20+ years relevant experience and hold a relevant technical certification with at least a year of experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
