Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team at FM Industries. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for performing precision mechanical inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • In-Process Inspections: Conduct inspections on machined parts and incoming materials to verify conformance to specification.
  • Calibrated Measuring Equipment: Ensure the use of calibrated measuring equipment and visual inspection to guarantee accuracy.
  • Customer Drawings and Specifications: Interpret customer drawings and specifications, and reference company work instructions and process travelers.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 5-7 years' experience in in-process and final inspection, preferably in a machining, automotive, or aerospace business.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of GD&T, CMM operation, and ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools.
  • Communication and Supervision: Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with fellow employees and customers professionally, and supervisory experience a plus.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
