Job SummaryWe are looking for a licensed MRI Technologist with a strong background in magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on MRI technology.
Responsibilities- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
- Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
- Conduct patient studies according to established protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
- Operate imaging and other equipment devices to provide high-quality diagnostic services.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns, demonstrating a high level of tact, courtesy, and poise.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
- Minimum of two years of continuous experience as a MRI Technologist in a clinical setting.
- License in the required state.
- BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
