Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Powder Mountain. As a key member of our snow removal team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to clear snow and debris from our roads, parking lots, and public areas.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, snow blowers, and sand salt plows to clear snow and debris
  • Maintain and keep equipment clean and ready for operation
  • Keep detailed work logs
  • Clear parking lots, public areas, and Powder Mountain roads of snow and debris
  • Mitigate snow damage or snow slides
  • Aid in removal of distressed vehicles
  • Ability to work long shifts and back-to-back shifts during a snow cycle
  • Will be working at 9,000ft in inclement weather
  • Ability to work at night
  • Ability to be on-call, work nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
  • Preferred 2+ years heavy equipment operator experience
  • Basic understanding of all Pre and Post shift equipment checks
  • If necessary, work hours other than scheduled pertaining to weather conditions
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind and rain, on varied snow surfaces
  • Overall understanding of Powder Mountains policies and procedures
  • Good work ethic, polite to co-workers, and follows directions when being asked to undergo a task
  • Must be dependable and have excellent communication skills
  • Reliable transportation, preferably 4x4 vehicle
  • Anticipate and avoid hazards
