Grant Writer

Foster Success is seeking a highly motivated and organized Grants Writer to assist in effectively writing and applying for grants. The Grants Writer will play a crucial role in applying for grants, including tracking financial and project administrative tasks, organizing and submitting project reporting, and ensuring organizational and funder compliance.

• Work with staff to research, write, and submit on average 2-3 grant proposals a month
• Create and maintain a calendar of grant dates, funder contacts, and reporting requirements
• Write and research state and federal funding opportunities, including WIOA funding opportunities
• Assume lead responsibility or supporting responsibility, as assigned, for grant reports
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new foundations, government, and corporate grant opportunities
• Coordinate meetings and site visits with current and prospective grantors
• Participate actively in team and all staff meetings
• Stay abreast of trends in development and content areas related to Foster Success' work

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in grant and proposal writing and management
• A successful track record in receiving and administering grants for organizations with diverse funders
• Deep knowledge of grant management, including compliance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting
• Familiarity with WIOA goals, regulations, and funding priorities in Indiana
• Effective communicator and ability to represent Foster Success with professionalism
• Commitment to supporting young adults between the ages of 14-25 from diverse backgrounds
