Job Overview:

  • Operates radiological equipment to generate radiographs, providing essential information for guiding procedures.
  • Utilizes fluoroscopic equipment during medical procedures under the direction of a physician.
  • Adheres to established radiation safety protocols.
  • Accurately documents fluoroscopy durations in designated areas promptly.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team, promptly notifying relevant personnel of any changes during procedures.
  • Ensures a safe and hygienic working environment by following established procedures and regulations.
  • Prepares patients for radiological examinations by positioning them correctly, adjusting equipment settings, and ensuring optimal exposure factors.
  • Employs appropriate aseptic techniques when preparing procedure trays, administering medications, and prepping patients.
  • Manages inventory of radiological and procedural supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt of supplies.
  • Assists during surgical procedures as a scrub technician.
  • Completes the sterile processing of surgical instruments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role does not include supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited ARRT program.
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Vocational/Technical or Associate's degree.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledgeable about radiation safety standards.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills focused on tracking patient care and enhancing patient flow.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage variations in patient volume efficiently.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation.
  • Skilled in following both oral and written instructions.

Work Environment:

This position is typically performed in a medical surgery center setting, with potential for floating to other locations based on staffing requirements.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this role include regular standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for grasping and handling objects. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds and possess specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation & Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position.
  • Day shift: Monday-Friday; start times vary.
  • No evening or weekend shifts.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k), and paid time off.
  • $2500 Sign-On Bonus - $1250 paid on the first paycheck and $1250 paid after six months.
