Key Responsibilities

School Duties: 25-30 hours/week

  • Collaborate with coaches, athletes, and healthcare professionals to assess and monitor athlete conditions.
  • Develop tailored exercise and nutrition programs.
  • Work with athletes and their families to establish health and fitness objectives.
  • Create rehabilitation and training regimens for athletes.
  • Utilize expertise in sports-related injuries for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Refer athletes to appropriate medical personnel when necessary.
  • Support and track the recovery progress of injured athletes.
  • Maintain detailed records of athlete health, training, nutrition, and treatment plans.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including inventory and budget assistance.

Office Duties: 10-15 hours/week

  • Act as a liaison among patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
  • Ensure smooth clinic operations by coordinating patient flow and preparing necessary information for physicians.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments through history-taking and physical examinations.
  • Review patient records to evaluate health status and identify significant findings.
  • Present comprehensive patient data to attending physicians after evaluations.
  • Document patient information accurately in files and electronic medical records.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including casting, splinting, and wound care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training with a valid state license or certification.
  • Relevant education or experience will be verified.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in a clinical environment.
  • Must possess a valid Athletic Trainer certification.
  • Strong knowledge of athlete challenges, nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and observational skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively educate patients regarding their treatment plans.
  • Capable of analyzing data and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
