Job Title: Instrument Quality Assurance Tester

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  2. Follow all safety protocols and personal protective equipment guidelines.
  3. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  4. Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  5. Comply with directives from the immediate Supervisor.
  6. Oversee, assess, and guide testing personnel; create testing protocols.
  7. Conduct evaluations of finished instruments and perform audits.
  8. Generate daily testing data matrices.
  9. Address customer inquiries related to professional instruments.
  10. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance on New Product Development initiatives.
  11. Work closely with Operations Project Manager and plant staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  1. Create, oversee, and update written testing and repair procedures; provide training and assessment for new testers.
  2. Perform play tests on both professional and various level instruments to ensure process consistency and quality assurance.
  3. Implement adjustments and regulations as necessary.
  4. Compile daily yield matrices; collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to develop corrective action plans.
  5. Process customer warranty returns as required; monitor and address any customer return concerns.
  6. Document repairs and defective products, collaborating with Engineering and Quality Assurance to resolve issues.
  7. Support Corporate Marketing initiatives.
  8. Actively participate in New Product Development Teams.
  9. Complete the Clean & Pack Process according to daily production needs.
  10. Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Consistent attendance is required.
  2. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) with a focus on teamwork.
  4. Proven planning and organizational abilities.
  5. Capability to schedule and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Proficiency in playing the instrument for which hired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Capacity to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  2. Frequent standing and walking required.
  3. Ability to focus visually on objects sharply.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  5. Hearing and vision acuity are essential.
  6. Requires repetitive hand and arm movements, constant fingering and grasping to play instruments, as well as upper body movement for keyboard and monitor use.
  7. Ability to sit for extended periods as needed.
  8. Ability to make judgments, perform repetitive tasks, and meet specific standards.
