Caregiving Therapist for Elderly Care Community

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans as established by Physical Therapists and Physicians in a professional and competent manner.
- Screen residents quarterly to identify those who have experienced declines in functional abilities and determine if PT intervention is indicated.
- Carry out and modify treatment programs according to plan of care in consultation with Registered Physical Therapists.
- Monitor and report resident performance and progress.
- Assist Registered Physical Therapists in re-assessing patients and determining need for continued services or discontinuation based on patient progress.
- Educate staff, family, and caregivers as needed.
- Complete required documentation according to guidelines specified in the Documentation Manual.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- An Associate Degree from an accredited Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Meet all certification and licensure requirements established by state and national board associations.
- Familiarity with Rehab Optima, Ultipro, Healthcare Source, MedBridge, PlanSource, RightTrack, PCC, and other computer software programs.
- An active South Carolina license and active CPR certification.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds).
- Demonstrated professionalism, assessment abilities, and clinical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication with residents, families, visitors, and employees.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations.

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
