The Rehabilitation Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing patient-related care tasks and assisting patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of licensed nurses and therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Monitor and record daily intake and output, including food and fluid consumption.
- Obtain specimens, including non-invasive body fluids and blood samples, for laboratory testing.
- Perform EKGs and blood glucose monitoring as needed.
- Assist licensed therapists with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures.
- Communicate patient needs and observed changes in patient condition to supervising licensed nurses and therapists.
- Document all interactions in patient medical records as directed by licensed nurses and therapists.
- Azizona Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Healthcare education in a related area.
- PREFERRED: Aide to Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Physical Therapist (PT), Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC).
