Coating Technician

Position Summary:

The Coating Technician plays a vital role in the manufacturing process by ensuring that metal components are prepared and coated to meet quality standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in the application of coatings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in industrial coating within a production setting or relevant experience in construction, particularly in drywall applications.
• Familiarity with both hand and power tools is essential.
• Ability to interpret blueprints is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal parts by applying fillers or bonding agents to achieve a smooth surface for the coating process.
• Utilize wet paint techniques to ensure thorough coverage, adhering to customer specifications for color and texture.
• Read and interpret blueprints, process flow instructions, and other directives to facilitate the movement of products through the coating stages.
• Document production data accurately and report to the Process or Team Lead for input into the production tracking system.
