Position: CIM E/E Associate

As a vital member of our CIM group, specifically within the excise tax and renewable energy credits division (E/E), you will undertake a variety of responsibilities centered around two primary themes: your technical and quality proficiency, alongside delivering superior client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support tax planning and research related to excise tax and renewable energy credits across various domains:
    • Federal excise tax (including fuel, heavy vehicles, air transportation, and environmental taxes)
    • Investment tax credit (ITC)
    • Production tax credit (PTC)
    • Carbon capture and sequestration credit
    • Electric vehicle and refueling property credits
    • Renewable fuel credits
  • Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently, which entails client interviews, calculations, analysis, data collection, and resource coordination.
  • Contribute to drafting opinion letters and preparing other technical documentation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's business operations.
  • Play a key role in the success of various R&D or federal credits engagements.
  • Enhance your skills through ongoing education and by obtaining additional professional certifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel to designated client locations; must have reliable transportation.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Progressing towards the successful completion of the CPA examination.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
