Job Summary:

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team on a part-time weekend schedule. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and implement respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehabilitation of patients with various respiratory illnesses and diseases.
  • Initiate therapies, maintain accurate patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment as needed.
  • Complete a variety of bedside treatments, including respiratory care and therapy.
  • Provide in-services for nursing staff on a quarterly basis to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation to track patient progress and caseload management.
  • Attend applicable Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is highly desirable.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care and facility standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a COARC-accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Licensed in the state where practicing and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
