Energy Efficiency Technician

At PosiGen, we are committed to making solar energy and energy efficiency solutions accessible to all. We are seeking a skilled Energy Efficiency Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of simplifying solar, improving home efficiency, and generating opportunities for the underserved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site assessments using a range of equipment and tools to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
  • Install energy-efficient upgrades in single-family residential projects, including insulation, pipe insulation, and compact fluorescent light bulbs.
  • Perform energy audits and produce pre- and post-reduction numbers from testing.
  • Prepare documentation of energy efficiency upgrades for upload to our shared database and communicate results to homeowners, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Maintain high-quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and identifying trends and recommending system improvements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and reporting any potential hazards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • BPI certification is a plus.
  • Experience in residential construction and/or maintenance industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and a general disposition towards technology, including the use of online platforms such as DOE Energy Score, Dropbox, and Salesforce (CRM) on various devices.
  • Availability to work some Saturdays.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds and work in tight areas, attics, crawl spaces, and hatch doors.
  • Ability to work with fiberglass, cellulose, foam, mastic, and caulk in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work clean and clean up the work site after completing each job.
