The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive environment. As a Registered Nurse on the 8 North General Medical/Oncology Unit at St. Vincent Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Participate in department-specific quality initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses and support staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and promote patient satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advance your clinical skills.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification.
- Preferred: Certification in a specialty area, such as oncology or critical care.
