Pilot Plant Operator Level 1 Job Description

This is a full-time, hourly position at ADM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and troubleshoot distillation and processing equipment.
  • Manage inventory through paperwork transfers and charging of stills.
  • Perform process plumbing lineups with hoses, hard lines, and fittings to and from tanks.
  • Package citrus oils in drums, pails, and gallon containers using various methods.
  • Sample and label distillation cuts and run GC analysis on cuts and in-process samples.
  • Make run condition changes and decisions based on analysis.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to GMP/HACCP/Food Safety Standards.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This role requires working in a 50% ambient and 50% air-conditioned lab environment.

The physical demands include the ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, and duck.

Requirements:
  • GED or HS Diploma required.
  • Simple mathematics understanding required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Experience in chemical processing and automated control systems a plus.
