Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls from the public, using your excellent communication skills to gather information and provide assistance.
  • Dispatch units to emergency scenes, using your knowledge of the area and our dispatch equipment to ensure timely and effective responses.
  • Provide critical support to our law enforcement officers, including providing information, coordinating responses, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls and situations simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the public, our law enforcement officers, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and support.

Requirements

  • One year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience receiving a high-volume of calls and dealing with the public under stressful situations.
  • Possession of a valid typing certificate of 40 net words per minute from clear copy.
  • Ability to pass a security clearance investigation, medical examination, and psychological screening.
  • Normal hearing in both ears, and good eye/hand coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Ability to work shift assignments, holidays, and weekends as required.
