Job Summary
The College of Southern Maryland is seeking a dynamic and passionate adjunct faculty member to teach Early Childhood Development courses. As a part-time temporary faculty member, you will have the opportunity to implement the comprehensive mission of a community college by assessing, documenting, and improving student learning through instruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Early Childhood Development courses face-to-face, two to four days a week, between 8:15 am and 2:00 pm
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans to meet the needs of students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
- Participate in program and curriculum review and development initiatives
- Recommend textbooks and instructional materials to improve curriculum
- Attend faculty meetings, college assemblies, and professional development activities
Requirements
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field
- Teaching experience preferred
- Subject matter expertise in Early Childhood Development
- Ability to respond to the needs of students using a variety of teaching methods
