Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Milwaukee, WI. As a Designer, you will perform engineering models, analysis, and/or designs, and supporting calculations/documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis, and/or design calculations of project elements.
  • Draw design details under direction of others.
  • Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
  • Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
  • Coordinate drafting of an element.
  • Perform field or site visits as needed.
  • Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
  • PE License in Wisconsin or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) - not required, but preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of design, load rating, and inspection experience.
  • Experience working with WisDOT and/or municipalities.
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
  • Progressive experience with developing contract and utilizing MicroStation Connects, Open Roads, and Open Bridge Design software.
