Ground Up Commercial Construction Supervisor

About the Job: We're looking for an experienced Ground Up Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team in Las Vegas, NV.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a similar field, along with OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Previous experience handling tilt-up and ground-up commercial construction projects is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestone dates and overall schedule completion date are met.
  2. Schedule Creation: Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules to communicate upcoming events, track progress, and proactively address potential issues.
  3. Safety Management: Oversee project site safety plan, including creating and maintaining a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
  4. Quality Control: Coordinate work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly and deliberate manner consistent with standard-of-care set forth in contract documents.
  5. Dimensional Controls: Establish and maintain dimensional controls for the project, including using third-party survey and layout personnel when necessary.
  6. Inspections: Verify that all work is installed in a workmanlike manner.
  7. Documentation: Obtain all inspections and document physical work quality aspects.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all contract terms and legal requirements governing the project and community.
  9. Program Administration: Administer client-specific programs, such as Landlord/Site Rules and Regulations, Safety, Site Specific Security, etc.
  10. Meetings: Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
  11. Budget Management: Manage self-performed activities to ensure work is performed within established project budget.
  12. Scope Management: Manage changes in project scope to prevent avoidable rework.
  13. Agreement Administration: Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure scope, terms, and conditions are consistently met.
  14. Punch List and Closeout: Manage punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.
  15. Administrative Tasks: Maintain daily paperwork, such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.
  16. Interactions: Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, vendors, security, etc.
  17. Proposal Preparation: Complete project schedules for proposals, review estimates, assist in creating proposals, participate in interviews, etc.
  18. Marketing: Engage in marketing and obtaining projects.
  19. Other Duties: Other duties may be assigned to support company goals.

Competencies:

  • Understands sequencing of work and strategy of creating effective project schedules.
  • Understands project control and change order management.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
