PremiStar is seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team in Macon, GA. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting Field Technicians with HVAC and Sheet Metal services, including cutting sheet metal, installing ductwork, assembling, and installing HVAC equipment.

• Assist with HVAC Service and Installations: Assist with testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant, and wiring controls.
• Collaborate with HVAC Service Technicians: Run service and installation jobs with HVAC Service Technicians.
• Assist with Replacing, Repairing, and Installing HVAC and Refrigeration Units: Assist in replacing, repairing, and installing HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Power Wash HVAC Equipment Units: Power wash HVAC equipment units.
• Assist with Running Performance Maintenance Calls: Assist with running performance maintenance calls.
• Assist with Assembling, Installing, Repairing, and Testing Steam Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Tanks, and Vats: Assist with assembling, installing, repairing, and testing steam boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats.
• Load Structural Parts of Boilers, Pressure Vessels, or Tanks on Pallets: Load structural parts of boilers, pressure vessels, or tanks on pallets.
• Assist in Positioning Parts in Jigs and Attaching Clamps or Other Holding Devices to Fit Parts Together: Assist in positioning parts in jigs and attaching clamps or other holding devices to fit parts together.
• Remove Boiler Casings, Grades, Handrails, Manhole Covers to Facilitate Access to Boilers or Other Vessels: Remove boiler casings, grades, handrails, manhole covers to facilitate access to boilers or other vessels.
• Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 Months of Experience in HVAC/Mechanical Services Industry: 6 months of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Services industry required.

• Ability to Communicate with Internal Team and Customers: Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
• Ability to Follow Written and Verbal Instructions: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to Use Hand and Power Tools: Ability to use hand and power tools.

This position requires physical ability to operate a variety of machinery and equipment, including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.

This job operates generally in the shop, building, and outdoors on HVAC and Sheet Metal in all environments, which may include extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year.
