The Opportunity
Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to fill a locum tenens opportunity in Wildwood, FL. This is an excellent chance to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
As an Emergency Medicine Physician, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing prompt and comprehensive medical care to patients experiencing a wide range of emergencies and acute illnesses in the emergency department.
2. Conducting thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
3. Diagnosing and stabilizing patients with life-threatening conditions.
4. Developing and implementing treatment plans for various acute medical and surgical emergencies.
5. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
• In-depth knowledge of emergency medicine principles and practices, including diagnosis, treatment, and stabilization of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional resource management skills to prioritize care and utilize resources effectively.
• Proficiency in performing emergency procedures and resuscitation techniques.
• Adaptability and ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple patients simultaneously.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and endurance to work long shifts in a demanding environment.
• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in emergency, internal or family medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the American Board of Family Medicine or the AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
