Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist II to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will assist Radiologists and Radiology Assistants with invasive and non-invasive procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Radiologists and Radiology Assistants with procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Position patients for optimal imaging, utilizing proper immobilization devices to control movement.
  • Explain exams and procedures to patients and families, addressing concerns and providing reassurance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school, or nursing diploma.
  • Direct experience in pediatric radiology, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Basic Life Support CPR for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification, R.T.(R) certification from the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), and Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) from the Arkansas Department of Health.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Direct experience in pediatric radiology, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
