Psychiatric Social Worker

The Psychiatric Social Worker is a critical member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, responsible for providing high-quality care to adults with mental health needs. This role involves working closely with program staff to develop and implement individualized service plans, while utilizing social work knowledge to address the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, conjoint, or family therapy sessions with assigned patients
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of coordination and service plans
- Participate in the review process to ensure client participation in program
- Ensure continuity of care and responsible discharge planning
- Participate in-service training for the team and relieve other primary therapists as needed
- Practice confidentiality and maintain records and reports
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate communication and referral of clients
- Monitor patient satisfaction and refer to other agencies when necessary
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited college
- Valid registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or license eligible
- Minimum of one year experience in a psychiatric facility working with persistently and severely mentally ill patients preferred
- Physically well, emotionally stable, and good communication skills
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary treatment team
