About the Role:

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Short-Haul Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up commercial tires and wheels while operating a Box Truck with a capacity under 26,000 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 26-foot box truck and deliver commercial tires/wheels class 5 through 8, as well as other items to customers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean driving record.
  • Execute client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtain signed paperwork to provide Snider branch, etc.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on box truck, as well as, on person.
  • Assist supervisor with planning routes to ensure that deliveries are completed in the most efficient manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the changes are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
  • Effectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays in route to management and to customers.
  • Accurately identify and enter casing information into electronic device using current Michelin mobile app (MRT Mobile Solutions), as well as properly barcode client's tires and wheels and provide an email or printed copy of tire pick-up upon completion of work order.
  • When available, assist with the scrap out analysis process for Snider customers.
  • Interact with Snider Fleet Solutions customers and personnel on a daily basis.
  • Support warehouse/service personnel with pulling, stacking, mounting, and dismounting various sized commercial tires, utilizing the commercial mount/dismount machine, T45A Tire Iron/Spoon Bar, and/or the "Golden Tool."
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properly.
  • Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and demonstrate safety conscious mindset.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.

Work Environment:

The work environment will be inside of a Snider box truck and a warehouse environment. This will be at a commercial truck service center. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in similar role or industry is a plus.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
  • DOT Medical Certification.
  • Forklift certification, obtained after employment.
  • Commercial TIA certification preferred.
