Responsibilities- Imaging Procedures: Perform mammography exams, including screening and diagnostic exams, using Hologic Selenia Dimensions and Philips Ultrasound Affiniti equipment.
- Patient Care: Provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality control activities to ensure compliance with MQSA regulations and Franciscan Health's quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography and Mammography Certification.
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Program of Radiological Technology.
- Experience: Breast ultrasound experience and basic life support certification.
The Mammography Department at Franciscan Health Indianapolis is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with 4 mammogram units, 3 ultrasound rooms, and 1 Affirm Biopsy table. The department uses Hologic Selenia Dimensions and Philips Ultrasound Affiniti equipment and is equipped with EPIC EMR system.
