The Patient Transport Specialist is responsible for safely transporting patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to various locations as needed. This role includes assisting patients who may require additional support, such as those with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, and other medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous greetings and assistance to patients and visitors.
- Ensure the safe and timely transport of patients to designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized transport environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Skills Required:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
