Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant

At Community Dental Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our doctors during treatment exams and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental care and assist the orthodontist during treatment exams
  • Perform duties of a Registered Dental Assistant, including sterilization of chairs and instruments
  • Provide excellent communication skills and maintain a positive attitude with co-workers and patients
  • Anticipate the orthodontist's needs and be prepared for the next steps
  • Removal and placement of arch wires, tooth preparation prior to bonding, and accurate computer charting
  • Responsible for oral hygiene instructions, placement and removal of brackets, and taking panoramic and cephalometric x-rays
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures
  • Familiarity with Sterilization and OSHA guidelines and procedures
  • Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred
