Position Description:

Adena- Commercial Carpenter

Summary:

The Carpenter will deliver professional services in the construction, repair, and finishing of building frameworks and structures, with a strong emphasis on precision and detail.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation of doors, frames, and hardware
  • Forming and pouring concrete
  • Layout and framing of walls using wood or metal studs
  • Hanging and finishing drywall
  • Installation of wall protection materials
  • Installation of acoustic ceilings
  • Cabinetry, trim, and other finish carpentry installations
  • Layout and installation of in-wall blocking
  • Roof blocking installation
  • Hanging toilet partitions and restroom accessory installation
  • Adherence to safety policies to maintain a secure work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Adena- Commercial Carpenter

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Relevant education or a combination of experience, education, and training that provides the necessary knowledge and skills for carpenter duties
  • 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
  • Ability to interpret building blueprints
  • Proficient in relevant mathematical skills
  • Strong knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment with safe usage
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Willingness to travel to job sites, which may occasionally require overnight stays
  • Ability to work at heights, including on scaffolding and ladders
  • Dependable attendance and consistency in work schedule
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to follow written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform regularly in various weather conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and freezing temperatures, while managing dirt and dust
