- Manage GNC's computational infrastructure in partnership with IT.
- Engage in the complete service lifecycle, from design to deployment and continuous improvement.
- Advise on future hardware acquisitions.
- Conduct sustainable incident response and postmortem analyses.
- Provide expert end-user support for GNC engineering applications.
- Configure automated deployment pipelines for web applications.
- Enhance GNC web applications and tools for improved usability and robustness.
- Document and demonstrate new software updates and changes.
- Focus on identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience, or 4 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Experience in Python and associated development frameworks.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in systems administration, site reliability engineering, or DevOps.
- Familiarity with Docker, Vagrant, and Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies and databases.
- Strong networking knowledge, particularly TCP/IP.
- Experience in scaling web applications and optimizing performance.
- Comfortable working with mission-critical systems and sensitive data.
