About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our aviation maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications and are airworthy before operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Evaluate Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft maintenance work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise to assist the maintenance department in solving complex problems and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that aircraft maintenance meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with maintenance personnel, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration in achieving quality and safety goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all aircraft maintenance activities are in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including FAA and DOD regulations.
  • Training and Development: Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of aircraft maintenance activities, including inspection reports, quality control records, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of experience in large multi-engine propeller aircraft maintenance; valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License and FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to read and interpret technical documentation; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of performing tasks that frequently require lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for prolonged periods of time.
