Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Primary Children's at Lehi and Primary Children's at Riverton. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of injury.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand MRI safety concepts and execute them diligently and consistently to maintain magnet safety for patients, guests, self, and fellow caregivers.
  • Understand MRI scanning parameters and, in coordination with the radiologist, select appropriate technical parameters and scanning techniques to ensure clinical exams are of good quality.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order identification, and prepare the patient appropriately for the exam.
  • Perform MRI examinations according to system and department standard protocols.
  • Understand cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrate appropriate anatomical positioning and multiplanar image reconstruction.
  • Under the direction of the radiologist or supervising clinician, perform contrast and medication administration inherent to MRI examination.
  • Maintain competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job.
  • Follow appropriate Intermountain policy and procedure, including clinical documentation, billing, and electronic medical record workflows.
Requirements
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in MRI or Advanced Radiologic Science
Work Environment

This is a PRN position, working 10-hour shifts, with rotating call weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly range for this position is $57.80.
