Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain competency in servicing pharmacy customers, including obtaining and recording demographic information, data entry, insurance verification, and label generation.
  • Dispense and deliver medications, including developing competence in the department's use of information systems, technology, and automation.
  • Assist with insurance and third-party billing functions, including data entry, prior authorization, and error correction.
  • Provide clinical support needs, such as DIR fees, and promote the sale of diabetic footwear and assist customers in selecting and fitting appropriate products.
  • Develop and maintain competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation, satisfying legal, regulatory, and department requirements.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or Pharmacy Technician Certified (ExCPT) within 2 years.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Good mathematical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach about shoulders throughout the work day.
Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility to travel amongst Aurora Pharmacy locations and the ability to deliver medications to patients via their preferred mode.
