Job Title: Adult Competitive Swim Instructor

The YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adult Competitive Swim Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic staff, you will be responsible for leading and instructing adult competitive swim programs, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment, and upholding the YMCA's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans for adult competitive swim programs
  • Provide instruction and guidance to adult swimmers, focusing on technique, endurance, and speed
  • Assist with swim meets and events, as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and other relevant data
  • Collaborate with other aquatic staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program
Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Experience in competitive swimming or coaching
  • Current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, and other relevant areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
