We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Technician to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Pathologist extender, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Pathology in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Case accessioning and gross description of small uncomplicated tissue specimens
- Evisceration of autopsies and preparation of tissue for special studies
- Cutting, staining, and cover slipping of frozen section tissue
- Maintenance of supplies in the gross room/morgue and disposal of old specimens
- Identification and resolution of labeling/identification discrepancies
- High School or GED (Required)
- HT - Histotechnician Registered - American Society for Clinical Pathology
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills, with medical terminology and basic anatomy knowledge
- Strong computer skills
This is a night shift position with 40 scheduled weekly hours in the Surgical Pathology department.
