Compensation: $53-$64 per hour W2
The primary responsibility of the software engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain various business and computer applications software. This includes specialized utility programs, client/server applications, and significant enhancements to existing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance and refine complex software implementation projects.
- Gather and analyze system requirements while documenting specifications.
- Develop software solutions tailored to client needs.
- Review enhancement requests and specifications for feasibility.
- Implement and customize system software according to client requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive software specifications and testing plans.
- Code new applications based on client specifications and create test data.
- Modify existing applications to meet new standards and conduct unit testing.
- Create migration packages for system and user testing.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and perform post-implementation validation.
- 2-6 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including TDD.
- Proficient in coding principles and practices.
- Familiarity with dependency injection and inversion of control.
- Knowledge of database principles and ORM tools.
- Experience in conducting code reviews.
- Solid experience with RESTful services and web services.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD tools and version control systems.
- Understanding of design patterns and software design principles.
- Experience with modern Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
- Proficiency in SQL-based databases.
- Familiarity with testing tools like JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of web UI frameworks such as Angular and JavaScript.
- Experience with CI tools like Team City and build tools like Ant or Maven.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
