As a vital member of the UHealth Tower team, the Senior Cardiac Care Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care within the cardiovascular specialty. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to providing high-quality nursing services.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Conduct thorough health assessments and triage patients with cardiac conditions, ensuring comprehensive medication reconciliation and treatment administration as per physician directives.
- Identify and prioritize nursing care needs for patients and their families, establishing effective methods for evaluating and documenting nursing interventions and care plans.
- Educate patients regarding their treatment plans, including pre-operative and post-operative instructions, to enhance their understanding and compliance.
- Perform pre-procedural assessments for patients scheduled for TEE/Cardioversion, providing essential education and medication instructions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient throughput and care coordination.
- Lead the intraprocedural process, ensuring patient safety and adherence to departmental protocols.
- Manage the recovery of patients post-procedural sedation, facilitating their safe discharge.
- Enhance patient care through follow-up calls within 24 hours post-procedure to address symptom management and satisfaction.
- Demonstrate proficiency in administering moderate sedation as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience in a relevant field.
