Job Summary
Timmons Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design professional to join our Transportation Design Group in Ashburn, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Design project components using office software, modeling, and AutoDesk Civil 3D technology.
- Perform calculations using engineering formulas and computer-aided tools to solve problems.
- Prepare specifications for materials, installation, inspection, and payment of project items.
- Complete design details and plan sets.
- Conduct research and write objective summary reports for project work or inspection.
- Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Participate in field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Communicate with client staff and internal design teams as directed by senior engineering staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
- At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
- Bentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency is essential.
- AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency is a plus.
- VDOT experience preferred.
- EIT preferred.
