Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and skilled Senior Superintendent to lead our Ground-Up Healthcare Construction initiatives.
This permanent role presents a unique opportunity to oversee construction projects from inception to completion within the healthcare domain.
The ideal candidate will manage all phases of construction, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and superior quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all phases of construction, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinating and supervising the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Conducting regular site inspections to assess progress, maintain quality control, and proactively identify potential challenges.
- Developing and executing effective project schedules, work plans, and cost estimates to optimize resource utilization and meet deadlines.
- Maintaining clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing risk management strategies, and promoting a safety-first culture on-site.
- Continuously assessing construction processes and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this exciting position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction field, particularly in hospital or healthcare-related projects.
- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Superintendent or in a comparable leadership role, with a successful track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, equipment, and safety protocols, with a focus on healthcare construction.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of motivating diverse teams towards shared objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to anticipate and address issues, manage risks, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients, team members, and project stakeholders.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Certifications in project management or safety management are advantageous.
