Outdoor Ice Resurfacing Technician

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is a dynamic and growing organization that offers a wide range of programs and services to our community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Zamboni Driver to join our team at the Elmhurst YMCA.
About the PositionThis role involves operating a Zamboni machine to resurface the ice rink, as well as other responsibilities such as staffing the skate counter and distributing rental equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and be able to maintain a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a Zamboni machine to resurface the ice rink and edge the ice
- Staff the skate counter and distribute rental equipment
- Supervise the ice rink lobby and ensure a safe environment
- Teach ice skating skills and follow the progressive skills program
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
