Job Summary

Ventura Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operator II to join our warehouse team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Staging and Loading: Accurately stage orders in designated areas for loading by loaders, following proper procedures and using the RF System.
  • Loading Trucks: Load customer orders onto trucks for dispatch or the drop lot, adhering to safety protocols and equipment inspections.
  • Receiving and Storage: Receive and store packaging, ingredients, and finished goods, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and computer entry.
  • Production Support: Assist with finished goods production support, including taking product from production lines and putting it into warehouse locations.
  • Troubleshooting: Competently troubleshoot inventory issues, including placing defective materials on pending hold and making location adjustments.
  • Warehouse Safety: Possess and exhibit a full understanding of safety-sensitive operations, including battery changing, pallet exchanging, and allergen compliance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate with experience in forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
  • Skills and Knowledge: At least one year of stand-up forklift experience, good math skills, and the ability to operate an RF computer and calculator.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
