Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care to patients in accordance with regulations, including obtaining patient history, ordering labs, diagnostic studies, and arranging referrals.
- Uphold excellent bedside manners and ability to create a great patient experience.
- Explain medical procedures and plan of care to patients.
- Responsible for in-patient care, rounding, admissions, discharges, and consults.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories.
- Document patient care services by charting in-patient and department records in EPIC.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Ability to obtain a New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.
- Three (3) plus years of experience with inpatient medicine and the ability to work independently with cardiology patients.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification desired.
