Key Responsibilities- Perform Multipoint Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues or needed repairs.
- Communicate with Service Advisors: Clearly communicate any additional service or repair needs to our service advisors to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
- Service Vehicles: Use hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns to service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles.
- Inspect Fluid Levels: Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles to ensure that they are at the recommended levels.
- Check Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure to ensure that it is at the recommended level.
- Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants to ensure that they are well-maintained.
- Drain and Refill Oil: Drain oil from crankcases and refill with the required amount of oil.
- Replace Oil and Air Filters: Replace oil and air filters to ensure that our customers' vehicles are well-maintained.
- Inspect Vehicles for Additional Repairs: Inspect all vehicles for any additional repairs that may be needed.
- Adhere to Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct.
- Meet Dealership Requirements: Must meet the dealership's requirements for employment.
- Read and Comprehend Written Instructions: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Familiarity with Automotive Repair/Maintenance: Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate manual transmissions.
- Prior Experience Preferred: Prior experience as a technician's helper or apprentice is preferred.
- Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Occasional Exposure to Inclement Weather: Occasional exposure to inclement weather.
- Ability to Operate an Automobile: Ability to operate an automobile.
- Prolonged Periods of Standing, Stooping, and Bending: Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.
- Exerting Force: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
