DIETARY ASSISTANT
This role involves supporting the storage, preparation, cleanliness, and delivery of meals in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of 8th grade or equivalent education
- Ability to follow instructions effectively
- Proficient in reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English
- Capable of interacting tactfully with facility staff, residents, family members, and visitors
- Compliance with all health regulations mandated by law
- Set dining tables, serve meals, and clear tables using appropriate sanitary practices
- Assemble dietary trays in a hygienic manner, adhering to the pre-established menu and physician-recommended diets
- Safely remove dietary trays and transport them to the dishwashing area
- Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and store dishes and kitchen equipment
- Carry out assigned cleaning tasks diligently
- Inspect all equipment for proper operation and safety before and during use, reporting any maintenance needs immediately
- Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols
- Engage in all mandatory in-service training sessions
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the dress code
- Report any complaints or concerns raised by residents, families, or visitors to the supervisor
- Uphold and promote the Code of Conduct
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
