Job Title: Police Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the State of Connecticut. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within our jurisdiction.

Job Summary:

The Police Officer will be responsible for:

  • Responding to emergency situations and providing assistance to the public
  • Patrolling designated areas to prevent and investigate crimes
  • Enforcing traffic laws and regulations
  • Providing crowd control and security services for events and activities
  • Conducting investigations and gathering evidence
  • Testifying in court and providing expert testimony
Responsibilities:

The Police Officer will perform a variety of tasks, including:

  • Securing and protecting people and property
  • Responding to emergency calls and providing assistance
  • Conducting investigations and gathering evidence
  • Testifying in court and providing expert testimony
  • Providing crowd control and security services for events and activities
  • Enforcing traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be certified as a law enforcement officer in the State of Connecticut
  • Have a valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Be able to pass a physical fitness assessment
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive medical examination, including a controlled substance screening
Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Field training officer experience
  • Prior university police experience
  • Cybercrime investigations experience
