The EHS Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that our facility operates safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.

This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities include facilitating safety committee meetings, completing incident investigations, and maintaining accurate records of injuries and incidents. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and sustaining a comprehensive safety program at the facility.

  • Ensure effective implementation and enforcement of the site Environmental Health and Safety Plan.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive safety program at the facility.
  • Facilitate monthly facility safety committee meetings.
  • Complete incident investigations and ensure timely reporting of all incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries and incidents.
  • Collect samples for SWPPP, Hazwaste and Industrial wastewater.
  • Coordinate with agencies such as EPA, DNR, Sanitation Districts, Fire Departments, State and County Health Agencies, DOT and other local environmental agencies.
