Cardiac Sonographer Opportunity at MedStar Health

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team at MedStar Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds on patients to ensure high-quality care and service.
  • Actively participate in quality assurance programs to maintain lab equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in coordinating patient care with clinical staff to ensure timely communication of patient data.
  • Prepare preliminary diagnostic reports by compiling relevant measurements and data.
  • Recognize and alert physicians to abnormal studies by immediately contacting them to discuss and assist with appropriate next steps.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree with a concentration in computer science or one to three years of formal job-related training.
  • 1-2 years of experience post-graduation in echo cardiology.
  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) Adult Echocardiography - ARDMS-AE.
  • CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
