As a Floor & Decor Designer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and design expertise to our customers. You will work closely with customers to understand their design needs and preferences, and provide personalized design solutions that meet their lifestyle and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to discuss their design needs and preferences
- Provide personalized design solutions that meet customers' lifestyle and budget
- Work closely with customers to understand their design needs and preferences
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals
- Stay up-to-date on current design trends and products to provide expert advice to customers
- Collaborate with store leadership and employees to achieve sales and other goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience
- Degree in Design is a plus
- Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
- Proficient in basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite
- Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position
Working Conditions
- Limited travel may be required by car
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles
