About the RoleThe Registered Nurse CVTS PRN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will work collaboratively with medical providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, and serve as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- ACLS Certification
- Registered Nurse Texas or Compact state license required
- Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
- 1-2 cardiovascular telemetry/cardiac years of experiences.
Methodist Hospital Northeast is a 232 bed, full service hospital. We are home to the Joint Replacement Academy, offering the latest treatment options for knee and hip pain. We house an impressive neurosurgical program, providing services from elective spine surgeries to advanced and comprehensive brain and spine care.
We are recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association as a Certified Primary Stroke Center, and by the American College of Cardiology as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI.
