Job Title: Special Education Teacher

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at West Covina Unified School District. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with special needs.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide instruction and support to students with mild to moderate support needs, moderate to severe support needs, or early childhood education with autism authorization
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
* Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
* Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
* Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student success

**Requirements:**

* California Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing mild to moderate support needs, moderate to severe support needs, or early childhood education with autism authorization
* CBEST or equivalent
* Proof of English Learner Authorization/CLAD Certificate
* Ability to work with students with diverse needs and abilities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
